On March 20, 2010, Troop 688 delivered over 8,400 bags of mulch in its annual fund raiser. That number is a new troop record. At approximately 40 pounds per bag that is over 168 TONS of mulch – all delivered on one day – also a record – using 8 rented trucks and several pickup trucks. Scouts not only earn money for the troop’s general account, but also earn money for their private accounts that can be used to pay for activities throughout the year. |
